    I think it is very necessary and helpful for students to take examination. From examination, students can find out how well they have mastered their lessons. On the other hand, teachers can check students’ performance and their teaching method as well.
    But examination still has its disadvantages. For example, to some extent, high score doesn’ t necessarily mean excellent ability or creativity in dealing with different situations. To get high marks, some students pay so much attention to their lessons that they do not have enough time to develop their talents in music, painting, etc.
    So, in my opinion, to get a better balance between high scores and excellent ability, we should give students both chances to study hard and to develop their own interests.
