- What do you think are the most important skills for children to learn in the modern world?
I think there are a number of important skills for children to learn, for example, interpersonal skills, public-speaking skills and IT skills. But the ability to teach oneself is the most important one because information is updating so fast nowadays and new ideas are coming out every day. But I think children nowadays are quite used to the fast pace of modern life. Everywhere, you can see children playing with the most recent smart devices, even without anybody teaching them how to use the devices. I think this is a demonstration of the self-teaching ability and I hope this ability can be extended to the other aspects of their learning.
- Which skills do you think’ children should learn at school and which at home?
I think children should learn how to interact with people at school because they can meet their peers at school. It creates a great opportunity to learn how to. work with others and how to share things with others at school. These are all important skills that will benefit them for life. While they should learn life skills such as doing housework at home because they can see their parent doing it every day, which offers a good chance for them to learn. Such skills are important as well, as children would need them when they grow older, for example, when they attend college.
- Do you think future generations will need to acquire new skills? What kind?
Yes, of course, I think future generations would need to acquire lots of new skills. For example, they need to learn using new electronic equipment because it is developing very fast. Computers would probably update so fast that a set of new skills are needed to work with a computer! Besides, the way people interact with each other would probably change as well. As you see, smart devices are indispensable in our lives now, and they will become even more so in the future. This will change the interpersonal relations and thus generating new interpersonal skills for people to learn in the future.

I think skills play an important role in workplaces. Skill means expertise and brings profit to companies. In fact, companies hire people because of their skills, be them professional skills or interpersonal ones. Skills play a crucial role in increasing the competitiveness of an employee. Therefore, you will see various training courses offered to help people develop or update their skill kit. Besides professional skills, a good interpersonal skill is equally important as it helps people get along with their co-workers and generate a happy work environment, which in turn attracts more high-quality employees.

Yes, of course, I think the skills people need nowadays have changed greatly. I think people need to learn more IT skills than before. People nowadays should master more such skills than before. Secondly, I think the skills to manage employees have evolved to a great extent as well.
