答案 I consider myself lucky to have had several excellent teachers throughout my academic years. Among them, I’d like to talk about my favourite one, Mrs Chan, who was an extraordinary teacher and great mentor to me. She has a major influence on my education.
I met Mrs Chan when I was in year 4 and she was our maths teacher. The reason why I said she was an extraordinary teacher is that she had a unique way of teaching. She always started a lesson with a story, and then, correlated the story with the knowledge of maths. Thus everything I learned from her was interesting and that’s why I could remember most of the knowledge she had taught me.
And because of that, she’d helped me form the basis of maths, which served me well when I entered college and majored in science. Maths is kind of the basic of science. Before Mrs Chan, maths gave me the impression that it was a very difficult and boring subject. But Mrs Chan’s way of teaching had overcome my prejudice against it and helped make it one of my most favourite subjects. I’ve always been good at maths and I owe that mainly to her. So in this point, I’d say she has a great influence on my education.
As for the reasons why I adore her are countless, yet the most important one is that I became fond of maths because of her. The well-known fact that a good teacher delivers lectures and an excellent teacher inspires his or her students, is completely applicable to her and she, in my opinion, is an influential teacher.
