答案 　　I’m going to describe one of my friend’s wedding ceremony, which took place a few years ago. The bridegroom was my roommate at college. We are very close friends so that he invited me to be his best man. I was so glad to be at the ceremony because it was held in an ancestral temple. It’s a traditional custom for people in rural areas to hold marriage ceremonies at their ancestral temples in honour of their ancestors. For people living in the urban city, that was a novel experience.
　　I’ve been to lots, of wedding ceremonies. Most of them were held in a hotel or a restaurant. However, it was the first one that I’d ever been to that was held outdoors. The wedding reception was set in the square right in front of the ancestral temple. An array of tables was placed in order. Chickens, fishes, pigeons, pork and vegetables were all cooked and served in big plates, with white wine and red wine in bottles. Rural people are so hospitable that almost the whole village were invited to the banquet. The newlyweds were busy greeting guests, receiving lucky money and saying good wishes.
　　Most importantly, that was my first time to be a best man. I felt nervous and excited at first, but then I realised my responsibilities, such as keeping the wedding rings. When the bridegroom proposed to the bride, I needed to hand over the rings to him to complete the ritual. Besides, I needed to accompany the groom to drink a toast to every table. Anyway, the ceremony was quite fun and I also gained lots of experience from it.
