问题 Do people of different age groups see foreign festivals in the same way?

选项

答案 Not really. The older generations born in the 50s and 60s may not be in favor of celebrating foreign festivals because they aren’t culturally related to them. They have neither knowledge nor interest in foreign festivals. While the generations born in the 70s and 80s, like my parents, have received better education and embraced foreign cultures with more tolerance. They would put traditional festivals first but they wouldn’t mind celebrating one or two foreign festivals. As for the young generations born after the millennium, like me, they totally welcome different cultures and enjoy both traditional and foreign festivals. I think the purpose of having festivals is to honor the past and relax ourselves. The cultural origin of a festival doesn’t matter too much as long as it celebrates the right things.
