Not just people flock to the tourist attractions, cars also line up on highways, causing traffic jams. Since highway tolls are exempted during public holidays, many people prefer to drive home or travel by their own cars. In order to maintain social order and security, more policemen need to be sent out too. Massive gatherings become an easy target for terrorist attacks, so the police must stay extra alert on public holidays.
