W: Gary, is that a concert ticket in your hand?
M: Uh, yeah. It is.
W: But you look like you aren’t happy! Why? Isn’t your favorite band playing? Did you spend too much for the ticket?
M: No, it was free. A friend of mine gave it to me.
W: A free ticket! Now I really don’t understand why you look so sad.
M: The concert is tonight. But I also have a history paper due tomorrow.
W: You haven’t written it yet?
M: I haven’t even read the book yet. I just don’t know what to do.
W: Easy. Just go to the concert, then come home and write the paper.
M: I can’t possibly be home before midnight. After all that loud music I can’t possibly have any mood to write a history paper.
W: So just skip the concert. You could give the ticket to someone else.
M: Give it away?! No way, a concert like this only happens once in a lifetime. I wouldn’t have another chance to attend the concert if I missed it tonight. Plus, I’d really love to see my favorite band.
W: Oh, man. You cannot always have it your way.

The other person suggests that he should go to the concert, and then write his paper after returning home that night. Also, he could simply give away the ticket and do his paper.
Personally speaking, I believe he should write his paper. He is in college to study. It is his own fault that he has not yet written his paper. And he needs to be responsible for his paper and submits it on time. The boy should simply give the ticket to someone who can use it. It costs him nothing, but will bring him a good grade and study habit.
