   一日，友人来访。农夫为了款待朋友，准备杀两只鸡。他提着刀走进鸡场，照例把门碰得很响。两只公鸡坚信是主人喂食来了，仗着身强力壮，率先将脑袋伸出鸡笼。农夫手起刀落，两颗可怜的小脑袋来不及意识到它们的因果规律的无效，便流着鲜血落到了地上。

答案    There was once a farmer who raised a flock of chickens. Every time he came to feed them, he made some noise with the gate of the fence. After a long time, the clever chickens derived to themselves a law of causality: After the noise at the gate, their master was sure to come and feed them, because it had always happened so before.
   One day, some friends came. To entertain his friends, the farmer decided to kill two of the chickens. Knife in hand, he came into the chicken-yard. And as usual he made some noise with the gate. Two roosters were sure that the master had come to feed them. They were strong enough to be the first to stretch out their heads. No sooner had the farmer swung his knife than two pitiable small heads fell bleeding to the ground, without realizing that their law of causality had not worked.
