What does the man say about beer since the 1990s? [br]
W: Mr. Smith, could you tell us what changes do you think have taken place in the beer market in the last ten to twenty years?
M: In my opinion, the biggest change is the increase in the production since the 1990s. It was said in the year of 2001 the selling record has reached the highest level.
W: Oh, so impressive! Then could you tell some statistics of those years?
M: Well, in 1991 about 229 million bottles of beer were produced in the world. The highest production level was reached in 1999 with a total of 293 million bottles. But from then on, because the weather in the mountain area began to change rapidly, the production began to decrease, since 2000.
W: Then has the market been badly hit by the recession?
M: Oh, certainly, the economic problems influenced the beer’s export market greatly in the United States, Japan and other countries in Europe.
W: And are there any other reasons?
M: Another important factor is price. To tell the truth, the price of beer was much overpriced, little by little many people preferred buying wines or alcohol from other countries to buying the expensive beer. So since 2000, many small beer factories were closed.
W: Last question, do you think the beer market will recover in the future?
M: Oh, I’m sure it will. When the economic situation improves, I believe the market will recover.
