M: Hello, Miss Smith! So glad to see you!
W: You must be kidding! I’ve been here hundreds of times for the visa, so you couldn’t say that.
M: But today is different. I was just going to let you know the visa has been granted.
W: Oh, dear! I’ve been waiting for nearly six months by now.
M: That’s not very long, compared with the time it took many other visa appliers.
W: This, I suppose, is British efficiency.
