Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is to speak on Tuesday at the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington. On Monday, Mr. Maliki met with President Obama at the White House to discuss ideas for cooperation and plans for development. The two leaders promised to support Iraq’s political and national security. They also went to Virginia for a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. Some of the more than 4,000 Americans killed in Iraq since the Iraq War began are buried in Arlington. On Wednesday, the Iraqi Prime Minister is expected to travel with President Obama to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The President is to thank troops returning from Iraq at the military base.
