Dear Polly,
    The monitor asked me to tell you, since you didn’t attend the class meeting, that there would be a picnic by the West Lake this Saturday. There are lots of things to prepare and we have decided to share the work. You and I will take charge of making sandwiches and salad. Let’s prepare to do it.
