    Speaking for myself, I am not willing to deny the demerits brought about by students’ remarks on teachers’ performance, but I still support those who say Yes. In the first place, asking students to evaluate their teachers can stimulate teachers’ passion to optimize their teaching methods. Both praise and criticism from students are timely feedback on teachers’ work, according to which teachers can make active adjustments of teaching. In the second place, allowing students to assess the teaching performance can not only cultivate their critical thinking skills but also improve their independent expression abilities. Last but not least, evaluation from students can promote mutual understanding between teachers and students, which is conducive to establishing a harmonious teacher-student relationship.
    In conclusion, students should be empowered to evaluate their teachers’ performance on the condition that they can put forward objective suggestions without showing disrespect for teachers or breaching the disciplines in the classroom.
