问题    Listen to the following passage. Altogether the passage will be read to you four times. During the first reading, which will be done at normal speed, listen and try to understand the meaning. For the second and third readings, the passage will be read sentence by sentence, or phrase by phrase, with intervals of 15 seconds. The last reading will be done at normal speed again and during this time you should check your work. You will then be given 1 minute to check through your work once more.

   Air Pollution
The pollution in China now is becoming a serious problem. / Toxic smog hits its cities. / Now the authorities say they want the green industries / to have a turnover of more than $700 billion by 2015. / They’re offering tax breaks and subsidies / to promote growth and innovation within the sector. / It’s the latest move by the government to curb pollution. / Last month, the authorities ordered hundreds of factories / including steel and paper factories to shut down production lines / that were causing high levels of pollution.
