答案     Many people might say language is no more than a tool for communication. Nevertheless, learning a new language contribute a lot to one’ s perception of the outside world, which to a certain extent changes who we are, but it also takes time for this influence to reveal. This can be best expressed in Allistair Reed’ s words "Living in another language means growing another self, and it takes time for that other self to become familiar. "
    As a matter of fact, I have been learning English as a foreign language for years and the more I learn about it, the more I find myself have changed through the process. I believe good fluency in a foreign language can significantly enhance one’ s ability to see and understand and also articulate his/her other points of view. As far as I am concerned, learning English helps me find nuances in expression and meaning through communication. My reading and expressive capacity is increased noticeably and I am no longer the girl who will become speechless in front of strangers.
    To sum up, learning another language helps me gain new insights and widen my horizon.
