Many have headed to Nashville, Tenn., with nothing but a guitar and a dream. Taylor, Keith and Charlotte are determined to see their dream of becoming a country music star come true.
Taylor, who has been singing to anyone who would listen since she was 3 years old, knew she wanted to be a country music singer after hearing LeAnn Rimes when she was in first grade. She was just dead set, and told herself that’s what she’s going to be. Taylor, now a freshman in high school, practices and writes songs at home and in the studio for 30 hours each week. When she goes through something, she must write a song about it.
Keith moved to Nashville after he got his first thrill from a favorable audience reaction at 16 years old. His mom pulled him into a piano bar and he sang "The Dance". And the place loved it. These days, Keith is a stay-at-home dad by day and a musician at night clubs. It’s difficult to juggle music and family. But music is always a part of his life. He has got a couple of songs published, so it’s like he’s starting to make a move.
Charlotte, a mother and a musician, moved her family to Nashville in search of her calling. She wouldn’t give up her dream, "not in the face of my children", because they’re her biggest fans. Whether Charlotte is working on a new song or working at her day job selling flowers, her love for the music is what keeps her going. For her, music is like an unsatisfied ardent follower. It’s something that’s passionate that she can’t get enough of.
