    As is depicted in the picture, a car owner is still adjusting his GPS system even though his car has already fallen off the cliff. This is a satirical cartoon which describes vividly a common phenomenon nowadays— people rely too much on high technology, which sets us thinking deeply.
    It is undeniable that the technology has radically changed the way we live so much that its effects are now irreversible. Nevertheless, there still exist some negative effects. For one thing, with people relying more and more on high technology to solve problems, our lives are governed by it in so many aspects that the ability of humans to think will surely deteriorate. For another, with people delivering information instead of feelings in technological ways, high technology brings about the loss of a personal touch and makes people drift apart.
    All in all, addiction to high technology poses a threat to us. High-tech products are nothing but a tool, so we cannot be slaves to them but the master.
