    I’m writing to sincerely invite you to my house to spend the Spring Festival with me and my family, since Chinese Spring Festival is around the corner.
    Spring Festival to Chinese is as significant as Christmas to Westerners. Chinese people attach such great importance to the holiday for it has a long and rich history. It is on this very occasion that people pleasantly gather together with their families and friends to share happiness with each other and pray for good luck in the coming year as well. If you could come, you would experience a lot of ways in which Chinese celebrate this grand festival, such as posting Spring Festival couplets, making dumplings, setting off firecrackers, making a New Year wish and so on. You would be immersed in a joyous atmosphere. Time permitting, I will be very glad to take you to some famous places of historic interest and scenic beauty as well as the streets and alleyways to take a deep insight into China’s traditional culture and customs.
