    Nowadays, disastrous accidents frequently occur for lack of a sense of responsibility. For instance, some officials abuse their power and fail to fulfill their duty, which has already caused untold damage to people’s lives and property. It saddens our heart to see many patients who should have lived well die or suffer bitterly because of some doctors’ irresponsible medical treatment. Many mine disasters happening each year are largely attributed to negligence of duty as well. All these tragic facts have repeatedly sounded a warning and shocked us into full awareness of having a sense of responsibility.
    As a college student, it is of vital importance to heighten/strengthen our sense of responsibility. For one thing, a sense of responsibility is essential to our future development. It is very hard to imagine a person without a sense of responsibility will achieve something in his career. For another, our society and country expect more sense of responsibility of college students since it is our duty to keep our country rich and strong. A sense of responsibility lies in what we do, trying to do well everything as we can no matter how trivial/unimportant it is. Only when everybody has a sense of responsibility and does his bit can we ensure the healthy development of a society.
