A Job or Further

答案
A Job or Further Study
As the table shows, some changes have occurred in the students’ choice between taking a job and going for further study. In 1997, 67% of the graduating students chose to work while only 33% of the students went in for further study. However, seven years later, in 2004, only 41% of the students have decided to take a job and the number of students who plan to continue their studies has gone to 59 %. Obviously, more and more students have turned to further studies after graduation.
There are several reasons for this change in choices between jobs and further studies. One reason may be that people have realized the importance of education and therefore they decide to learn more knowledge while they are young. Another reason may be that it is getting more and more difficult for graduates to find a suitable job. So they think that it may be easier for them to get an employment if they have a master’s degree.
As a college student who will graduate in two years’ time, I prefer to continue my studies after graduation. More college students will graduate than ever before. As a result, the competition for jobs will become very fierce. I think it is better for me to stay in school for another couple of years. With more knowledge, I will stand a better chance of hunting for a job.
