    Presently, an increasing number of museums offer visitors free admission. The government is attaching great importance to popularization of culture. The purpose of this practice is to offer more opportunities for citizens to explore and get easy access to the world of history, culture and knowledge.
    Although free admission offers convenience to the public, it brings problems as well. For one thing, with more visitors, the valuable cultural relics displayed may be damaged consciously or unconsciously. For another, the crowds in the museums may also cause security problems. Moreover, it puts a heavy economic burden on museums which have to run as usual without the ticket income.
    In my opinion, free admission is a good policy for the public. But we should take measures to protect the cultural relics in the museum. Meanwhile, we should educate the people to observe the rules and regulations when visiting the museum. Moreover, departments concerned should allocate more money to the museum for its regular maintenance and sustainable development. Only in this way can people benefit most from the admission-free practice.
