A friend is a person who is honest and frank with you, not these so-called buddies you’ve got that encourage you to go and buy alcohol for any party. These guys are dragging you down.
M: I’ve had enough.
W: No. The truth hurts. There is a club called AA—Alcoholics Anonymous. You can go there and meet with other people; they can help you be clear-headed.
M: That’s for people who have problems.
W: You’ve got problems, Dave. There’s no membership fee in AA, and the meetings are very private. I’ll go with you. What do you say?
