答案    Tutors have become more and more popular in recent years. Many parents hire tutors for their children lest their children be left in a disadvantageous position.
   This phenomenon arouses much controversy. Some think that school education is not enough for children. A tutor can make up for the inadequacy of school education and teach children according to their capabilities. But other people look at this with certain uneasiness. They believe a tutor often adds to children’s study burden rather than improves their study.
   So far as I am concerned, whether a tutor is necessary or not depends on each child’s practical situation. There are cases in which children do get much help from tutors. But there are also instances that tutors prove to be more harmful than helpful. Therefore, parents can hire a tutor when their children really need one. However, they should never do so as a result of following suit.
