答案     The roars of a "tiger mom" and a "wolf dad" have stirred fervent discussions on how to raise children among anxious Chinese parents. Some people agree with this so-called "stick parenting" which features severe methods such as spanking, while quite a number of people hold a suspicious attitude towards it.
    From my perspective, "stick parenting" should not be adopted. For one thing, according to some experts in children’s education, individuals with a very strict upbringing and harsh parents tend to develop personality disorders. For another, this ruthless parenting style may not conform to laws concerning domestic violence and child abuse. What’s more, although discipline is essential in helping children understand what’s right, this extreme parenting style leaves little or no room for individuality, freedom and creativity.
    In conclusion, it would be wise for parents to adopt a proper parenting style according to their children’s needs and personalities.
