Because speech is frequently accompanied by gestures and facial expressions, a language may be a combination of signs and sounds.
   To be understood is the chief requirement of a language. 【B10】 , he would nor have a true language. What’s the purpose of the language? Someone will say it’s just a tool that makes people understand each other better.
    【B11】 . Language, therefore, is called a social institution, meaning that men have invented and developed language to satisfy the need to communicate with one another.
