    Every coin has two sides, so does college students flocking into talent shows. Positively, talent shows offer college students a stage to display themselves as well as provide chances for ambitious youngsters to realize their dreams. Furthermore, college students would make progress in both knowledge and ability by taking part in talent shows. Negatively, such talent shows as shortcuts to success are likely to have a bad influence on students’ attitudes towards life since they are eager for quick success and instant benefits. In addition, students spend much time and effort on the competition, which may hinder their progress in academic performance.
    My personal view is that students’ main task at school is to lay a solid academic foundation for their study at a higher level, instead of focusing on talent shows.
